Halloween: The Satanic Day of Worship & Sacrifice

As Christians, our faith calls us to walk in truth. This is especially important during Halloween, a day that has become shrouded in darkness and deception. Anton LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan, expressed gratitude to Christians who participate in Halloween, the "day of the devil," revealing the holiday's sinister nature, a day of the greatest number of human sacrifices annually. We must shine a light on the truth of this day, exposing its spiritual implications, when it’s posed as “a harmless day of candy and dress up”, which is far from the truth.

Halloween's origins stem from ancient rituals that glorify darkness, and the modern celebration is far from innocent. Pastor Riian, an African minister, warns that decorating homes for Halloween incorporates surrounding households into a defined area of spiritual vulnerability. This unspoken agreement inadvertently subjects entire neighborhoods to the influence of darkness. Practices of true following Christians generally drive around, ride bikes or take walks around their neighborhood to rebuke any dark influence and bind any darkness behind the partaking in those house decorations reflecting Halloween and alter offerings done consciously or unconsciously by neighbors.

Do we stay true to biblical teaching or blend in with the world?

The deception of Halloween convinces many that it's just a day of candy and dress-up. However, as Christians, we must recognize the lie and remain steadfast in our faith, protecting ourselves and our families from the enemy's grasp. We must reject the influence of darkness and stay true to Jesus Christ's teachings.

Here's how to pray against this spiritual darkness and protect yourself:

  1. Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), including the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit.

  2. Rebuke the enemy and bind all things of Satan in Jesus' name (Luke 10:19).

  3. Pray for protection, asking God to shield you and your loved ones from the influence of evil (Psalm 91:1-2).

  4. Remain vigilant, watching and praying against temptation and deception (Matthew 26:41).

By staying true to the Word of God and prayerfully engaging in spiritual warfare, we can resist the darkness and shine as beacons of Christ's love during Halloween.
